PixQR is primarily an offline-first app. Most of your QR content stays on your device. We do not sell your personal data.

• Generated QR designs, titles, notes, tags, favorites, and collections

• Exported image or PDF files saved by you
• App preferences such as theme and default export settings
• Optional app lock settings (PIN and/or biometric unlock preference)

1.2 Device permissions

With your permission, PixQR may access:

• Camera — to scan QR codes and barcodes
• Photos / Media library — to scan codes from images and to select logos or images for QR design
• Biometrics / Face ID / Fingerprint — only if you enable app lock (processed by the device; we do not receive your biometric templates)

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

1.3 Diagnostics and analytics

To improve stability and understand general app usage, PixQR may use Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Analytics — anonymous or aggregated usage events (for example, app opens and feature usage)
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports and diagnostic data such as device model, OS version, and stack traces

These services are provided by Google and may process limited technical data according to Google’s privacy terms.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only to:

• Provide QR generation, scanning, history, collections, and export features
• Remember your settings and secure optional app lock features
• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
• Diagnose crashes and technical issues
• Comply with applicable laws where required

We do not use your QR content for advertising profiles or sell it to third parties.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

• On your device: QR records, scan history, collections, settings, and exported files are stored locally using on-device storage.
• Secure local storage: Sensitive lock-related values (such as a PIN, if enabled) are stored using the device’s secure storage mechanisms.
• Cloud diagnostics: Analytics and crash reports may be transmitted to Firebase / Google servers.

If you use share, open, print, or export features, the shared content is handled by the apps or services you choose (for example, messaging apps, email, printers, or file managers).

4. Data Sharing

We may share limited information only in these cases:

• Service providers: Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) for app analytics and crash reporting
• Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
• User-initiated sharing: when you deliberately share or export QR content through other apps

We do not sell personal information.

5. Children’s Privacy

PixQR is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
• You can clear generated QR codes, scans, and collections using in-app options such as Clear All Data (where available).
• Uninstalling PixQR removes locally stored app data from your device (subject to your operating system’s behavior).
• Firebase diagnostics data is retained according to Google Firebase retention practices.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information stored by the App, including local encrypted storage for sensitive lock data where supported by the platform. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain information. Because most PixQR data is stored on your device, you can usually manage it directly by:

• Editing or deleting QR codes, scans, and collections in the App
• Clearing app data or uninstalling the App
• Revoking camera, photos, or biometric permissions in system settings
• Disabling optional app lock features

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when revisions are made. Continued use of PixQR after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
